Aria Rugs and Gallery is located in the Houston Design Center. The gallery specializes in imported selections of mini rugs, silk rugs, runners, and marquetries from Persia as well as area rugs, decor, sculptures, and paintings.
These rugs and mini rugs take hundreds of hours to complete. The Persian artisans have shown extreme patience, creativity, and commitment to weave artistic carpets for generations. Attention to detail on these arts can be seen and reflect the artisan's intense quality of work. Some rugs may require several craftsmen many months to hand tie the millions of knots. These arts are relatively affordable and within reach of art lovers and designers. The price of a handmade rug is determined by several factors such as artisan's quality of work, type of material and color used, originality, labor cost, knot density, and intricacy of design. Handmade rugs have variable prices because of their artistic value.
Sam Rahvar and his father's intense passion for hand woven rugs, tapestries, and art began many years ago in Iran, continued in Milano, and then came to Houston. Sam has followed in his father's footsteps in this journey.
Rugs and tapestries add new life to your living room, office, and bedroom decor.
