2 Lucy's Antiques, an importer of antique European furniture and accessories is opening a new showroom facility on January 17, 2013 at 8570 Katy Freeway, Suite 111. The new 10,000 sq. ft. facility, which will also house two other merchants, has been named Back Row Antiques, reflecting its location in the back row of the series of single story building housing merchants, wholesalers, light industrial and service companies. Access is immediately north of the Katy Freeway with an entrance off Bingle Rd. They will continue to maintain showrooms at MAI as well.
2 Lucy's Antiques is owned by Houstonians Kelly O'Donnell and Tracey Shingledecker who founded the firm in 2005. In addition to their new location they will continue to maintain showrooms at MAI.The other merchants are Leighton Hale Antiques and Designs by Grace (Gracie Hall- Owner). Leighton Hale is a long time operator featuring American and European antiques furniture and accessories. Designs by Grace owner Gracie Hall features antiques and artisan built furniture, lamps and accessories. She also carries an extensive inventory in custom designed jewelry.
A "Soft" opening is planned for the new facility January 17, with a major grand opening event planned for January 21, 2013. Hours will be 00-00 Monday-Friday and 00-00 Saturday. {additional details at backrowantiques.com).
In addition to large inventory display areas, the new facility will also feature a social center and planning area for interior designers and other customers.
