Comfortable in jeans with a paintbrush in hand, Leslie Sinclair originally enjoyed a successful career in corporate sales and marketing after graduating from the University of Texas. She hoped to spend more time with her husband and three children upon launching Segreto Finishes in 1995. Fourteen years later with a staff of close to 30 artisans, the company has become more than a full-time endeavor. Teamwork is a critical part of Segreto’s success. All of the expert artisans and painters are chosen by Leslie for their tremendous skill and talent. She believes in encouraging the uniqueness of each individual artist.
Sinclair’s talent for color and working with clients built Segreto’s reputation. With her keen sense of color and design, she carefully considers clients’ personalities, lifestyles and preferences. She adheres to the highest artistic standards while keeping each clients budget and the design’s longevity in mind. By mixing paints and plasters, conceiving new cabinetry finishes and devising architecturally interesting ceiling designs, Sinclair adds spark to interiors.
Sinclair’s decorative painting firm, Segreto Finishes, has received accolades from Channel 13, The Houston Business Journal, Lux, 002 and Biztec. Her work has been published in both local and national magazines including Veranda, Home, USA Today, Beautiful Homes, Beautiful Baths, Kitchen and Bath Ideas, Decorating Spaces, Houston Lifestyles and Homes, Gloss, Southern Living, and Houston and Design Resources. Sinclair also writes for the Antique Shops and Designers magazine. Wanting to give back to the community, Leslie has recently taken part in New Spring where she speaks with local students about building a successful business in the art world.
